    Before you Arrive

When you reserve a room at Chilton House by phone or online (the best rates are always on our website) your “Chilton House Experience” can begin even before your scheduled arrival.

Our team will happily help you plan your trip ahead of time with, and may suggest a stop at one of Fauquier County’s scores of wineries, cideries, and even a micro-batch distillery, all within 20-30 minutes from Warrenton. Guests appreciate that they can leave their car parked here and walk to and from a night out on the town.

    Arriving at Chilton House

When arriving at Chilton House you'll park in our driveway, or right on Culpeper Street where parking is free, unlimited, and secure. Look for the white and black "Bed & Breakfast" sign, or the green archway above the gate.

When you walk up the restored brick staircase, you'll arrive at the front door. You should check your email for the door code, but if you have any trouble, the Ring doorbell will connect you directly to a member of our team.

Once inside, you'll find your key and a letter welcoming you to the manor. The library and adjacent lounge are part of the original 4-story house built in 1820. These two spacious rooms are connected with french doors and filled with fine antique furniture and furnishings, original polished wood floors, hand-carved fireplace mantles, original door hardware, 18-foot high ceilings, and 6 foot tall, sun-filled windows with 108 panes of rare 1820 hand-blown crown glass.

You'll also find menus for local restaurants, and a tablet with local history, experiences, and anything you want to know about Chilton House and Warrenton.

    Take A Tour

Enjoy a self-guided tour through the 3-story wing that the family added in 1930. You'll find the guest pantry where you can help yourself to chilled water, ice, a microwave and cupboards with mugs and adult beverage glasses of all types. From the main floor you’ll head upstairs to the second story where three guest suites are located, two in the 1820 wing (Blackwell and McDonnell, 2nd landing) and one in the 1930 wing (Hearst, 1st landing).
