The original ceiling fixture/wall paper - We kept the ceiling wallpaper and replaced the fixture with a ceiling fan, but don't worry, we used the fixture in one of the bedrooms!

The original east side of the kitchen.  This was so beautiful, but because of the odd size unusable for the installation of modern appliances.

The original north side of the kitchen.  This was a '40s era vintage dishwasher and sink module (not working).  We kept it, but don't know what we'll do with it - any ideas??      Email us

The original west side of the kitchen.  We used this side to house the ovens & stove, but moved the pantry to the south side of the kitchen.

Domingo working on the upper cabinets.

East side during reconstruction.  Everything got moved out - the carriage house is full of all of this because we can't bear to get rid of anything - we will try to reuse some of the cabnets.

North side during reconstruction

Mural and SS Countertop - we bought the mural in Mexico - boxed!  It was like a jigsaw puzzle to reconstruct - duh!

This is the south side where we moved the pantry - unfortunately we had to cover a window - didn't take it out, just covered it up!

Hector - trying not to get frustrated!

Talavera tile display in Nuevo Laredo tile store.

We had some trouble on the west side fitting the stovetop and the range hood.

These are the electricians that save our you know what.  Elton and Sarah Oehlke

Every body has to break some time!  Lunch time is 11:30 for Hector and his crew - on the dot.  Ciana is Hector's wife and enforcer of the lunch rule.

By the way - that handsome guy in the middle is Ed - master of Chilton House.

We used the original sink from the upstairs kitchen (now master bathroom).  It was resurfaced and Mayo restored the original 1920's drain.

This is Tommy Soto, carpenter, painter, & all around good guy.  He and Domingo are Hector's crew.
